Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing the words of their eldest brother, all of Pāṇḍu's sons, of infinite energy, were pleased and began to think about the purport of those words.
वैशम्पायन ने कहा: अपने सबसे बड़े भाई के शब्दों को सुनकर, अनंत ऊर्जा वाले, पांडु के सभी पुत्र प्रसन्न हुए और उन शब्दों के अर्थ के बारे में सोचने लगे।
Suspecting them to be the foremost of the Kuru-s, the chief of the Vṛṣṇi-s and Rohiṇī's son then came to the potter's house, where those foremost among men were living.

Kṛṣṇā and Rohiṇī's son saw Ajātaśatru, with long and thick arms, seated there. In a circle around him sat the others, like blazing fires.
कृष्ण और रोहिणी के पुत्र ने लंबी और मोटी भुजाओं वाले अजातशत्रु को वहां बैठे देखा। उसके चारों ओर एक घेरे में अन्य लोग धधकती आग की तरह बैठे थे।
Vāsudeva went to Kuntī's son, foremost among those who follow dharma. He touched with his hands the feet of King Ājamīḍha Yudhiṣṭhira and said, "I am Kṛṣṇā." Rohiṇī's son went to Yudhiṣṭhira and did the same.
वासुदेव धर्म का पालन करने वालों में अग्रणी कुंती के पुत्र के पास गये। उन्होंने अपने हाथों से राजा अजमीढ़ युधिष्ठिर के पैर छुए और कहा, "मैं कृष्ण हूं।" रोहिणी के पुत्र ने युधिष्ठिर के पास जाकर वैसा ही किया।
Seeing them, the descendants of Kuru were greatly delighted. O chief of the Bhārata lineage! The chiefs of the Yadu lineage then touched the feet of their father's sister.
उन्हें देखकर कुरु के वंशजों को बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई। हे भरत वंश के मुखिया! तब यदु वंश के प्रमुखों ने अपने पिता की बहन के पैर छुए।
Seeing Kṛṣṇā, Ajātaśatru, chief among the Kuru-s, asked him about his welfare and said, "O Vāsudeva! When we are living here in disguise, how did you manage to track us down?"
कृष्ण को देखकर कुरुवंश के प्रमुख अजातशत्रु ने उनसे उनका कुशलक्षेम पूछा और कहा, "हे वासुदेव! जब हम यहां भेष बदलकर रह रहे हैं, तो आपने हमें कैसे ढूंढ लिया?"
Vāsudeva smiled and replied, "O king! Even when fire is covered, it comes out. Who but the Pāṇḍava-s can display such valour among men?
वासुदेव ने मुस्कुराते हुए उत्तर दिया, "हे राजा! जब अग्नि ढकी हुई होती है, तब भी वह बाहर निकल आती है। मनुष्यों में पांडवों के अलावा कौन ऐसी वीरता प्रदर्शित कर सकता है?"
O de-stroyers of enemies! It was through good fortune that you escaped from that fire. It was through good fortune that Dhṛtarāṣṭra's evil son and his advisers did not succeed in their desires.
हे शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले! यह सौभाग्य ही था कि आप उस आग से बच गये। यह सौभाग्य ही था कि धृतराष्ट्र का दुष्ट पुत्र और उसके सलाहकार अपनी इच्छाओं में सफल नहीं हो सके।
Be blessed. Prosper, the way a fire hidden in a cave gradually expands and spreads. Permit us to return to camp. Otherwise, the kings may discover you. Then, taking permission from the Pāṇḍava-s, the eternally radiant one quickly went away, accompanied by Baladeva."
धन्य हो। समृद्धि, जिस प्रकार गुफा में छिपी आग धीरे-धीरे बढ़ती और फैलती जाती है। हमें शिविर में लौटने की अनुमति दें। अन्यथा, राजा तुम्हें खोज लेंगे। फिर, पांडवों से अनुमति लेकर, शाश्वत तेजस्वी तुरंत बलदेव के साथ चले गए।
